Design that makes people happier and healthier in their own spaces. It could be a city, a space, a brand, a home; they all follow the same process. The details will change, and we will shape the team accordingly, but the heart and the essence of these projects remains the same.
We involve the people and communities that will benefit from these spaces at every stage of the process.
The four stages
Discover and uncover
We start by researching the project. This stage includes desk study along with design research, as well as meetings with the local councils and authorities to fully understand the scope of the project.
Conversation and participation
We get out into the community and engage with the people and businesses. This includes placemaking and workshops to get to know the people and communities that the project will impact.
Define and align
We develop the mission, the vision, and how we will go about bringing the project to life.
Deliver and consider
The design of the project itself, which is determined by the project and the findings from the previous three stages.
Spaces are not just the physical places and the four walls we inhabit. They’re the spaces in our minds and where we live, work, and play. All of these spaces, whether they’re mental or physical, should be designed with communities in mind and not just the voices that can be heard the loudest.
These spaces should not only allow these communities to survive but they should support them to thrive, grow, achieve their goals, find new ways of living and working, all supported by the infrastructure and architecture around them.
