Malta is hosting its first-ever design expo, DesignMT, from 30th September to 5th October, across historic sites in Valletta. The event features four exhibitions showcasing contemporary designs that blend functionality with cultural heritage. Organized by the Malta Crafts Foundation with Golden Glitch, and supported by entities like Arts Council Malta and Heritage Malta, the expo promotes creative dialogue and innovation.

The exhibitions will be complemented by thematic events that delve into contemporary design trends and innovative advancements, with discussions focusing on fields where design significantly shapes our daily experiences. Visitors can enjoy free access to exhibitions at key venues such as Auberge D’Aragon, Fortress Builders, St John’s Cavalier, and the Valletta Design Cluster.
Workshops, talks, and panel discussions will offer opportunities for engagement with design professionals, exploring cutting-edge ideas and the influence of design on daily life. The expo highlights the intersection of tradition and innovation, celebrating Malta's evolving design scene.
